About
I was born and grew up in Orlando, FL. I went to Winter Park Highschool, and then Ringling School of Art and Design for a BFA in Computer Animation.

Shortly after graduating I moved to Newport Beach, CA to work at Blizzard Entertainment in their Film Department doing high res game cinematics.

Cinematics are fully rendered 3d movies that play before, after, and sometimes during the game. Blizzard makes games like Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. During my stay at Blizzard I had the opportunity to work on Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne and World of Warcraft cinematic sequences. I am so thankful for my experience at Blizzard, I learned so much and got to work with some incredibly talented people.

I left Blizzard to work at NC Soft, to help start their LA based cinematic division, located in Santa Monica, CA. NC Soft is a Korean company and one of the largest MMORPG game developers in the world, with titles like Lineage II, City of Heroes, etc.

In 2005 NC Soft closed the doors of it's LA based cinematic team, and I briefly worked at Rhythm & Hues before deciding to take a job at Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, CA to work on a film called American Dog by director Chris Sanders.

I currently live in North Hollywood, CA. During my freetime I like to go running, hiking, and most things outdoors. You can contact me via email at ryan at ryanduncan.net.
